Aminé’s Tour de Dance Turns Seattle Into a Party

Aminé, Portland native and Pacific Northwest savant, is having a prolific 2025. Coming off the second year of his The Best Day Ever fest and another collaboration with legendary sneaker brand New Balance, he’s cementing himself as more than just a rapper, he's a cultural presence. On Sunday night, Seattle got to experience the full force of that energy.

Fall has started to settle in, and it was a chilly evening outside, but inside the Paramount Theater, the atmosphere was buzzing despite some hiccups at the door. The venue had a few issues checking in fans and activating tickets after acquiring everything from WAMU, but staff moved quickly to honor everything and get the crowd inside. By then, the merch line was already snaking up the stairs. The standout item? A shirt designed with Nick Holliday, featuring two spritzes on the front and the phrase “in my tummy” hidden inside a playful nod to Aminé’s hit SAGE TIME.

From the jump, Aminé made the show feel personal. On every stop of this tour, he brings a fan on stage, asks them a question, and has them sign a pair of pants he’s patching together city by city. In Seattle, he asked: “What brings you the most joy?” He gave the fan space to answer, no rush, while he cracked jokes and checked in with the crowd. “It feels like I’m home,” he said, nodding to Portland’s proximity, before playfully daring to ask if Seattle thought it was the better city. The crowd roared back their approval.

Between songs, hilarious interludes and visuals kept the energy light, but when it came time to perform, Aminé showed why he’s such a strong live act. Not every artist can deliver hit after hit without losing momentum, but his catalog from the frenetic bounce of the album TWOPOINTFIVE to the introspection of deep cuts like Dr. Whoever. never let the room’s energy dip.

The night’s most touching moment came when longtime collaborator and opener Lido joined him on stage for Cool About It, a standout from Aminé’s latest project. Lido, who produced the track along with several of Aminé’s earlier hits, took a moment to give him his flowers, and the two shared an unfiltered moment of gratitude and camaraderie.

From there, Aminé pushed the night into high gear with fan favorite Spice Girl. Later, during Caroline, he flipped the crowd’s expectations by asking them to turn on their flashlights while he picked up a live-feed camera, vlogging himself rapping over a slowed-down version of the song. Just as the audience sank into the moment, the familiar beat dropped, and the encore exploded.

For a second, it felt like the show had ended.. until the screens flashed “Encore?” in bold letters, fans stopped in their tracks, turned around and Arc de Triomphe kicked in one more time. The crowd went wild. Aminé ran across the stage, beaming, and as he finally said goodnight, he left Seattle with a simple message: “You’re beautiful.”

Aminé’s stage presence that night was among the best I’ve seen. magnetic, effortless, and nonstop. There wasn’t a dull moment, and if you get the chance to see him on this tour, don’t hesitate. It’s Aminé at his absolute best.
