New York City was set ablaze on a Monday night as the Saturday Night Tour rolled into town, bringing with it a wave of electrifying performances and unforgettable moments. Headlined by Bryce Vine, this show was not just a concert, but a homecoming celebration for openers Hoodie Allen and Yoshi T., who both returned to their roots with unmatched energy and passion.
The night started off with Yoshi T., the charismatic Japanese-American artist, taking the stage by storm bringing his infectious blend of rap, production and visual art to the forefront. With a knack for humor and amazing ability to keep the energy light, Yoshi T had the audience roaring with laughter and excitement as he cracked jokes and engaged with the crowd throughout his performance. After Yoshi T's performance, it was Hoodie Allen's turn to take the stage, and he did so with a homecoming passion that was palpable throughout the venue. From his early hits like, "No Interruption" to a song named for the city he was currently performing in, “No Faith in Brooklyn," Hoodie delivered a set that was equal parts nostalgic and exhilarating. But at Hoodie’s set, it was less about the music, and more about the moments and connection he had with his fans. From relying on someone he picked from the crowd to rap a verse on one of his featured tracks, to performing a cover of “This Love” by Maroon 5, Hoodie Allen danced and rapped his way through each song. It was clear that this was more than just a concert for Hoodie—it was a triumphant return to his roots, a celebration of where it all began. Earmarked by balloons floating to the crowd mid-set, you could tell Hoodie Allen was happy to be home.

With each song effortlessly showcased his versatility as an artist, seamlessly blending pop, hip-hop, and R&B to create not only a sound of his own, but based on the crowd screaming every lyric back at him, a real and true community of his own. Similar to Hoodie Allen’s set, Bryce Vine also took the time to connect with his fans on a personal level, sharing stories and anecdotes that added depth to the performance.
